Everyone has their space!

Everyone has their space that they call their own. Well this is my little space at Westside (it is little!!!). But, I actually have my own desk (cubby) to call my own! We have some great kids (ninth and tenth graders) we are working with this year. Most of them are very responsible and don't need any help-a big difference compared to last year. I have come to love working with teenagers. I think that we adults don't give most of them as much credit as we should. Alot of them are basically good kids trying to muddle through all the junk from today's society. It's been fun to see the growth and changes in the kids I have worked with as 9th graders three years ago to the seniors they are this year! Not all have changed for the better but it makes it worthwhile when you see those that are achieving and moving forward.

Looking at our little corner.

Yeah, I just stare at my desk; but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch, too. I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work.

Matt works? Sure... Where have I been?! I guess I didn't see that you have posted a couple of things. It is fun to see where you work. Its good you have a name tag, just in case you forget where you sit. :) I think you are right about teenagers. At least that is what I hear from others who teach them too. But I still don't know if I could do it! It was hard dealing with the attitude of fourth graders!
