Happy Birthday, Lacey!

Happy Birthday to our daughter-in-law, Lacey, today! Lacey is a great wife to our son and a wonderful mother to their five children and our grandchildren. She is so supportive of Jason's military career always working behind him keeping the home front going smoothly when he's away or busy at home. I admire Lacey's many talents from the beautiful children's hairdo's, her focus to keep in shape, her ease at talking to others, her ability to teach great lessons in Relief Society, and her love and care she gives to her family.

We love you, Lacey, and hope you have a great Birthday, today!

Darling Picture!

I love looking at old pictures and seeing what Rick's and my ancestors looked like and if there is any resemblance to them. I happened to find this one of Rick's dad, Everett. It is the only picture we have have him when he was younger. The little girl is his cousin, Thelma, and they are two years old in the picture. Too Cute!

Blessings, Thankfulness and Christmas Memories!

The last three months have gone by so fast. Our lives were touched by the baptism of a granddaughter, the birth of a grandson and a granddaughter, the announcement of a new grandson to be born this May, blessings of the new grandchildren, the deaths of a dear brother and a close nephew, our oldest granddaughter turning ten, Happy Thanksgiving in sunny Texas, and a wonderful Christmas. We took six whirlwind trips in 2 1/2 months....it was needless to say crazy but it was enjoyable, sometimes sad, but with the renewed blessings of family and friends with each trip. Happy Birthday, Kaitlyn

Today is the birthday of our granddaughter, Kaitlyn. She is now the big "10" years! It is hard to believe that ten years has passed since we received an exciting call telling us that our first grandchild was born. It is hard to describe feelings when holding a new grandchild but it is such an awe inspiring moment. That feeling is always there with each new grandchild. Kaitlyn is a beautiful girl with so many wonderful characteristics and talents. She has always loved life, family and school. She loves ballet and right now playing the recorder (maybe that first step towards a bigger instrument), having friends and playing with her family's new puppy. Kaitlyn always gives Grandpa and Grandma big smiles and hugs whenever she sees us. What a delight she has been in our lives!

Welcome to new grandbabies, Landon Eric and Eden Ranae

Grandpa and I are excited to welcome our newest grandbabies born in the month of October. Little hugs and kisses go to Landon Eric born to our son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Joy, and to Eden Ranae, born to our daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Brett. Landon is a cute and handsome little guy with lots blond hair and Eden is a darling and beautiful girl with lots of dark hair. It's been fun for Rick and I to have been able to enjoy both of them during the past month.
